Ha ha You think so.. Spend $200 on a Tomtom or a Garmin and even the least flash one will be better than the VW rubbish.

As a multimedia unit it is quite good As a Satnav it makes a good boat anchor No sorry it doesn't its not heavy enough LOL

I have one because it was in the car and my wife liked the car and bought it.

Would I get it in another NO unless I bought an Ebay one for a far more realistic price.

Tint NEVER GET IT OFF A STEALER I got a 100ser Landcruiser done fully for $150 cash

He did my whole house for $1000.

Ask on here for a recommendation and get it done later

If the car has the RCD 510 radio you can sell that for $250 and put that towards and Ebay sat nav (RNS510)

Just my thoughts after being caught once with paint protection and once with the VW satnav

I initially kicked myself for not getting a Golf GTI or a second hand R for about $8-10k more, HOWEVER, I love my Polo GTI, touch wood, no issues, it's a MY12.5 and she goes hard.

With the stage 1 tune and the coils she looks fantastic and surprisingly beats a lot of cars.

    Highly recommended.

I had same thought about going for a Golf GTi but quite happy I didn't now (that being said had I had the extra $$ I would have most likely gone 86 GTS)

Do you have an iPhone? I use my Apple Maps through the Bluetooth as my GPS, works brilliantly! And cost me nothing. Plus who wants to spend the extra money getting the upgrades that they need? I recently moved to Sydney myself so I know the feeling of being lost in this city at times.

You can do better, but each to their own, don't let anyone tell you what to do.

Got a base level 13.5 for $29k drive-away. I paid too much for tint on top of that, as people have said don't pay more than $300 for it. IMO they can do better on the price, if you can just get a base gti and do what you want to it after, will be cheaper.

Mine hasn't had problems with oil or dsg so I'm perfectly happy so far.

There is a GTI for 28K drive away in Victoria.

Forget spending $3K+ for the RNS510 retrofit.

Love it. Love the acceleration, love the handling, but...

Plenty of regrets on my end.

Have added over 11 L of oil.

    3 oil consumption tests.

    3rd set of clutches.

    All within 36000 km.

Dealer has been great, but it is still under warranty. Really, REALLY worried about keeping it beyond warranty...

I, too, wish I had gone with a Golf GTI in retrospect....

It's not the fact it's covered, its more the point that in 2 years, 4 months of ownership, my car has been back for 8 separate warranty claims. 8 friggin times!!!! It's booked in for it's 9th and 10th next january to be looked at when the recall is done and i just noticed my bloody rear washer nozzle is leaking, AGAIN!!

I couldn't give a rat's about an extended warranty because the point is, it shouldn't need it.
