Have a few (possibly noob) questions. .?

firstly just thought I'd introduce myself quickly, my name is Kieran, I have a 3 door gti in candy white, joined not so long ago and have quite a few mods planned in the coming month or two... firstly with regards to intakes, what are the options? itg, gruppe m and hp? anything else readily available? and which one do you guys run/recommend? probably will have a stage one Ecu tune done at the same time?

anyway hi and hope to contribute here, and make a few events and drives...

Here is how I would spend my money, if I wanted to have fun on the track. If you can't budget for all of it then forget the intercooler and intake.
    1 Tyres
    2 Suspension
    3 ECU Tune
    4 Intercooler
    5 Air Intake

But to answer your question APR also make an intake for the car

Thats alot of $$. I'd wait for your engine to be calm before you whack on an ECU upgrade and potentially run into warranty issues Tyres and suspension are relatively safe bets..
MY12.5 Candy White 5 door Polo GTI. Upgrades/Mods = RNS510 H LED, RVC camera, Auto Lights Dash Sound Actuator GTI button, Gavs Footrest(!)
WIP = Miltek Turboback Exhaust, Cold Air Intake, Red Stuff brake pads (Nov '13)

Volkswagen racing and VAR Design also do intakes for the GTI. Intake is worthless for anything other than sound really without a tune so I would pick your tune, then pick your intake... Intercooler would be a better upgrade over the intake though.

yeah, fair enough, not really after much more than a bit of enhanced sound, as its just my daily commute to and from work, already got the tune done. I will look into those intakes, thanks.

First thing to know is that if you remove it, you have to destroy it to get it off so are you 100% sure you want to remove it for it to never go back on?

Got no issues with my wrap guy! He just tucked the vinyl under! Perfect job! I got him to do the top of the spoiler also, and trim around the edge so everything on top flows perfectly.
