GTI on its way, suspension mods?

Hey all, should be picking up my Reflex silver GTI on thursday or friday, got a couple things on the way but I have noted a couple of the guys have done some simple yet by the sounds very effective suspension mods.

I am really interested in your opinions on using the H&R lowered springs and just a nice basic larger rear bar, I am not trying to make this thing handle any better just give it a slightly lower look, obviously just lowering the car will upset the current handling hence the rear bar. I know the best option is to go coil-overs but really don't need to be able to adjust everything, this will mainly just be a slightly fun shopping trolley.

I was also looking at the 25/40 springs and wondering if people think these are low enough?

    Cheers in advance!

Yes, this has been covered over and over again.
I have 25/40 H&R springs with sway bar and it's low enough for me. If you intend to track the car, then go for coilovers. Oh, use the search facility of the forum as there are plenty of opinions out there.
