I get this noise when I've washed the cars and used the high pressure hose to clean the alloys. If I drive the car straight into the garage, both cars will make the noise the following morning. If I take the car for a spin around the block before parking them, the noise doesn't occur.

I suspect the rust idea in post 5 is the reason.

Water in the brakes causes that noise as well. Drive around a little and do a couple of harsh brakes and it should get the water out

I have a similar problem in some driveways , I narrowed it down to my front lip or side skirts scraping across the floor.

    Not that I am aware.
Mon to Thurs this week the weather has been circa 6 degrees at 7:00am in the morning and the grinding noise was quite bad for the first 1km, yet today it was 10 degrees+ and the car didn't make the noise.

I just don't understand it. Why would the suspension make a difference when the weather is cooler?

It must be to do with oil/lubricant getting around the car?
