    So these brackets essentially just clamp the assembly to the bootlid? I suppose the handle can't rotate in there as you accommodated all the grooves in the camera housing to essentially stop rotating. Good job in managing to mass produce those, they have quite a number of notches in them!

    A big thanks to lunchbox and this thread.

    I bought the RVC from the link lunchbox supplied in the first post of this thread. Took only a week to be delivered.
    Also bought one of lunchbox's brackets.. which works perfectly.

    All installed as per the instructions here.

    The worse part is removing all the trim pieces.. arrgggh!!! The RVC loom gets run down the passenger side of the car.

    Running the loom up the hatch cavity was also fiddly.

    Everything is pretty much plug and play. There are only 3 wires that need connecting.
    * +12V (red)
    * neg (black)
    * reverse activator (yellow)

    I tapped my +12 (red wire) and neg (black wire) from the back of the RNS510 rather than fiddle with the fuse box.

    The reverse activating power (yellow wire) I ran straight to the reversing light. The wire to tap off is Pin 2 on the passenger tail light plug. It's the wire at the bottom of the plug. See below for pics.

    All working great.

    sounds great staz, I have the bracket and really need to get on this and order. Did you have any fitting tips on running the cables, i.e. any do's and dont's or things to watch out for?

    Run the cables from front to rear.

    First thing I did was remove the RNS510.. plugged the RVC loom in and spliced in the red and black wires.
    The loom then gets passed across the top of the passenger footwell and down the kick panel on the left side of the passenger footwell.

    This kick panel just pops off pretty easy. The RVC loom gets run next to the factory loom which will be obvious when you remove the kick panel.

    Then it's a matter of removing all the trim pieces from the left side of the car plus the trim piece on the hatch.

    The RVC loom gets run right next to the factory loom as far as the rear left tail light.

    From here you need to get the loom up to top left hatch hinge. First remove the rubber conduit at the top from the hole.

    Now the hole at the top is not large enough for the RVC plugs to fit through. The plug for the camera (blue plug)will fit but not the others. But for the later stages even the blue camera plug will be hard to thread.. so I cut all the plugs off and re-soldered them later. It's up to you whether you think you can thread it through with the camera plug in place. I'm pretty adept at soldering so thought it easier to cut it off.

    To feed the RVC loom up to the top left hatch hinge I threaded some fairly stiff coax cable down from the top. Then attached the RVC loom with plenty of tape and pulled it up.

    Now you need to get the RVC loom through the little rubber conduit between the car body and the hatch itself. See pic below.

    I tried using the coax cable as before but it was too tricky to get through this conduit. It kept getting stuck. So to do this I poked a long screw driver through from one end.. taped the RVC loom to the end of the screwdriver and pulled it through.

    Now the tricky part.. you need to get the RVC up the passenger side hatch cavity to the camera itself. I did this in 2 steps.

    First I removed the passenger rear demister plug (it pulls straight off) and then the plastic retainer that holds it in the hatch. See pic belew.

    This leaves you with an access hole to the hatch cavity about half way up the hatch door.

    Using my coax cable I fed it down this access hole to the rubber conduit, taped the rvc loom on and pulled it up. Now you have the RVC loom halfway up the hatch door.

    Repeat the process to get it all the way up the hatch door. Resolder on all your plugs and connect at the camera end. Also, don't forget to connect the yellow wire to the left tail light reverse wire. It connects to the bottom wire on the plug. See pic below.

    Test everything works.

    Once thats done cable tied the loom in place. I secured it so the the excess length of loom was coiled up need the rear tail light.

    Plug the rubber conduit back in, replace the rear window demister plug and connector, replace all the trim pieces and your done.

    Took me about 5 hours all up at a steady pace.

    Got my camera kit now from the link at the start of this thread.

    A couple of questions...

    1, Looking at the loom, did you strip out the yellow wire from the red/black sub loom and take it all the way back to where the full loom went into the hatch and then run it down to the rear light connector?

    2, I also have what looks like two extra connectors that are near the camera end of the loom, one is a rectangle with a rounded end with two male connections in it (red and black), and one is a rounded square female with 4 connectors (black, 2x red and yellow). Do these get used at all?

    These questions may have obvious answers when I get into doing the job, but I thought I should ask before I start in case its not obvious

    1. You can strip out the yellow wire from the loom if you wish. I didn't bother though. You'll end with plenty of left over loom coiled up near the left taillight. I cut the yellow wire at the proper length here.

    2. All the connectors at the camera end of the loom are used.

    I will post some pics when i get home tonight.

    Here's the RVC loom connections to the camera..

    The factory plug from the original hatch latch goes to the new RVC loom. The plug from the camera now goes to the hatch latch. All other connections are pretty easy to work out as per the pic.

    I've added some pics above too for some more clarity.
