gap between front bumper and headlights

Hey guys just asking polo owners in general (or more specifically those with a GTI that has the xenons).

Do you find you've got quite a bit of a gap between the headlight and the front bumper? Quite visible in the dark if you use a torch to shine at it, you can pretty much shine straight through into the engine bay.

    Regards,

yes it's spose to be like that, before i took out my headlight housing, it had that gap, put it back in it had that gap. and my car is only < 3 months old. checked with other polos as well, seems to have the same gap, my guess is that the clip under the housing actually nudges it up against the cross plate that bolts onto the chassis

HI guys, On my polo, i found a gap on oneside of front bumper ailment is wider than the otherside.Other issues to follow...
Rattle Noise from rear left door.
rattle noise from Driver top side window.
Signal Indicator to the left blink extreme fast when it was raining.
The right front light gets water into the edge of housing.
rattling noise from engine under initial acceleration.

Other than that on my experience,i wonder why other different type of cars like to accelerate off real fast against me at lights.
    cheers tay.

(bumper taken out and readjusted /fix)
Rattle Noise from rear left door.
(Put new added soft seals to stop rattles)
rattle noise from Driver top side window.
    (Change new weather strips)
Signal Indicator to the left blink extreme fast when it was raining.
    (updated software)
The right front light gets water into the edge of housing.
(light was taken out and reseal)
rattling noise from engine under initial acceleration.
(found it was a electro magnetic actuator vibrating and waiting for parts coming tues)

Latest issue i have found little black blemish like freckles on the rear bumper and next to the rear gti emblem.Seems like paint is too lite quoted.

Have any of you guys with same issues. Thanks Tay

Could be industrial fall-out contimination. I have found it on my car too at some stages, I work in a faily industrial area, we have a paintshop and powdercoat line so fall-out is inevitable.

Have a look at a product called "Wolfs Decon Gel", carcareproducts sells it. It's amazing stuff and it removed 100% of the contamination that was left in the paint AFTER a 1 hour claybar session!

If it's still not coming off after a claybar and the decon gel, not sure what you could jo short of a machine polish, if indeed it is overspay as you say. Problem is, its VERY unlikely that its overspray. Those booths have very little wastage and can shoot multiple colours without cross contaminations quite easily. They don't have painters either, they're robots.
