Just wondering but are you filling the tank up properly. I know it sounds stupid but are you actually checking you are getting the correct amount of litres in the tank. The tank is 45L but on average you will get 32L in to the first click on the petrol pump.

Maybe you are stopping too soon because you hear it click - possibly because your fuel tank breather valve is clogged or not working correctly and not allowing the fuel to go down the pipe.

I don't know about your fuel gauge (because I have a 77tsi) but 20L will show my tank as full on the dial but as soon as I do 10km its down a bar. On top of that if I fill it up all the way to the max, I can do about 300km without it going down a single bar

mmmm, okay - will look into it and get it checked out in the next month or so...and yeah - I check how much I fill up; definitely usually get 40L in when I have an empty gauge

Can i put E10 in my 6R Polo GTI? Or just stick with 98?

I'm pretty sure you can but I'm not sure what the octane rating for the fuel is. If its 98ron equivalent then your fine...if not its really bad for your engine (ethanol blended fuel been bad for engines anyway so either way you loose really).

Definitely not. Shell E10 is only 91RON. BP is 91+ whatever that is. Caltex wont tell you what theirs is.

Yeah dont use E10, place i used to work ran our yammaha outboards on them for a few months, 5 out of 9 shat it, with all fuel injection and fuel line problems. From what i have heard, if you can stay clear of it.

98 Premium is at $1.34 per litre...why would anyone think of using E10?!?!?!

If so...might as well refill the car with avgas every single fill then

Avgas is a leaded fuel though.

ATF is quite cheap at the moment! lol tis Mondayitis today...lol jokes aside...ethanol in any of the Polo range bar the Trendline is a big no no.

I didn't know what E10 was and last time I saw when the newest SAABs came out they were bioFuel and thought new cars can run on E10? But don't know...
