Does anyone have a line on a foglight kit that uses the original lenses that comes with the retrofit / adapter loom? I have emailed Jimmy (google jimmy polo 6r foglights) and he will sell me a kit for $200 + $100 post but does not do a loom so i would rather not solder things if i dont have to and kauftec are horrific on postage.
Oriental parts has an OEM VAG (or so they say) kit for $179, but that does not include the switch or the loom. It seems like its easy to find the lights and surrounds, a little harder to find a kit with the switch and nigh on impossible to find a kit with a plug-and-play loom.
Does anyone have a line on one?

If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)

Gave up on Oriental parts in the end, they never reply to emails and such like.
Bit the Bullet however:
1) Bought a 2nd hand set of foglights from a wrecker in Ireland (could it be any farther away?), 15 quid postage is not bad, but i will reserve judgement until they arrive http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/110882233...84.m1423.l2649
2) Bought adapter loom from Fog Light Adapter Cable Set Harness VW Polo V 6R = H11 / HB4 | eBay (and will specify H11 which are the same as H8's I am told just straight not 90 degrees)
3) Headlight switch HEAD LIGHT SWITCH CHROME CONTROL FOR VW GOLF MK4 Sharan PASSAT B5 Polo 9N Lupo | eBay
but WHAT IS WITH THE PRICE OF THE PLASTIC GRILLES??? I cannot find them reasonably priced ANYWHERE. The only place that appears to sell them in any quality is Germany and the cheapest price I could get for postage was 30 euros. I just know that they are being mass manufactured in China and shipped over to Europe, which is surprising that there is no Hong Kong sellers flogging them off for $10 each like most things seem to be .
Does anyone have a line on a cheap set of foglight grilles?

I have ordered the bits minus the surrounds as the guy from the UK kept on saying he doesnt want to be held responsible for them going missing almost like he was expecting / will claim they have done, so im waiting till they show up before I order the grilles just in case. Will let you know ASAP however

Foglights came today so just left to get the surrounds. VW can get them for about $28 each, but alas they are ex-germany so it will be a few weeks before they land... ordered none the less

Okay... So i bought some grilles from 'CentralParts' on ebay from the UK. They came the other tday but i like the fact that they are made in Taiwan, shipped to the UK then shipped back here. I must say though, that the quality is very good.
The wiring loom I bought however does have the wrong pins on it as in the contact would not fit into the headlight plug even though you think it would by looking at it. What I had to do was take a wire out of the headlight plug from one of my 6n1 donor polos. You can buy them VW but I would hate to think what they cost as in the aftermarket world they are $11 for 5, so cant begin to imagine what they cost here. Anyway... if anyone installs the foglights and needs a pin or two for their loom, just let me know, i have a whole car full of them .
Now to wire it in with the loom I had, you get 2 pins for power, so i just scotchlocked them together and then fed the new single wire up to pin 8 on the headlight switch with the aforementioned new pin soldered to it and voila..... works a treat as you can see below.
