    First Service

Just wondering if any has serviced their Polo yet? Mine is due for its first service (15k) and they have quoted me $440, which seems a bit excessive. What price have you paid?

    FOR TDI
$350 at Burwin in FerntreeGully. Good service as well. Just got my Golf serviced, but asked about the Polo (as I have one) they said same price.

Call up ABS. They're pretty cheap too. My first was $260 (2009 GTI).

I wouldn't let places like Ultratune work on my lawn mower (if I had one) let alone a brand new Polo!

That said, $440 seems dear, try a few other dealers or independent specialists.

$440 seems too much for an oil change service that uses $70 worth of oil and $30 worth of filter.....Should be $250 max and that's allowing a generous labour amount.

I only want to get it done through VW. I think I may just get it though Moorabbin due to convience.

What prices do people pay through VW?

Agreed, $440 is way over the top, even for a VW dealer service

15k you'd be aiming for early to mid $300. Ring around & get the convenient place to price match (if they have a good rep - there are some VW shops I wouldn't trust a billycart to).

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
