First little hiccup with my new polo...need help RE MDI

i can't remember exactly what it says on the screen but it's something along the lines of "media not recognised"

I have that exact one and it comes up with a little warning about not being compatible Just click it off IT works

I originally tried connecting the male USB of the standard iPod USB cable to the female USB connector of the MDI - if that makes sense.

This is what i've been doing. Have spluged and bought one of the ebay jobbies
