EOI for 6R Rear UNIbrace XB

    Check out this thread http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f127...-xb-59624.html

Bruce from UNIbrace would do a production run for the 6R too, given at least 10 orders and help with dimensioning.

All unbraced hatchbacks flex at the rear because of the large, unsupported shell - this is one reason why you don't see many larger hatchbacks (sedans are getting worse with fold down rear seats but a solid parcel shelf still braces the structure). Rear braces reduce this and this one is the best I've ever seen for daily drive cars.

Not only is it triangulated but it is easily removable too. It's not cheap (A$420 delivered) but for what it does and how well it's made, it isn't expensive, either.

The links in the other thread show exactly what it is and how it works.

Any pics of how it sits and where? If it's visible to the wifey then no. What is the underbody brace?

See this post for an idea of the rear brace and where it sits/how it looks. The underbody brace attaches (unsurprisingly) under the body and further stiffens the chassis, complementing the XB.

UNIbrace have asked for pics of the underbody of Polos to do some planning for the underbody brace - any one got pics of their car on a hoist?
