Just curious Billecartz, who did the H&R lowered coils for you and at what cost was it for parts/installation?

I bought the coils for Orange tuning in Germany for $278.00 landed, I then asked a mate who is a VW mechanic to install them. It cost $200.00 to install and a carton of beer for a 4 wheel alignment and removing the coils from the front struts.

Transformed the car completely, looks and handles better, is more responsive to the throttle and much nicer all round package.

I'm wondering if some of you guys would have been better off waiting a few months for the GTI given some of the mods being discussed?

i prefer the TSI over the GTI for some reason, don't ask me what it is might be just a gut feeling.

Is this for the lowering coils? send me a pm of how much it "may" cost for shipment, delivery/fitment to the car.

    Cheers matty

Coils only is not going to be nearly as good as matched shocks. It is a good way to improve the ride height and body roll.

I had H&R coils on the last Polo GTI, was better than stock but big potholes and bumps were very crashy.

Yes I should have, but then we still don't really have a firm date and price. I needed a car back in May so I had no choice.

EDIT: Put me down for the group buy as well.
