I went in to our nearest dealer last week as I was in the area and they said they had no parts yet and put my name on a list of about 12 to be notified when parts will be available.

We have had no trouble with the car at all so far anyway

I've got ECU and DSG tuned and have my second letter. My only problem is there's not much time between getting the recall done and going down to the Phillip Island circuit to get the tune reloaded

The 2nd letter is only sent out when there is a new replacement part ready with your VIN on it (not sure it literally or metaphorically).

They are bringing lots of mechatronics units in but from my understanding are releasing them in waves to avoid service departments getting flooded with the work.

Only 2 technicians in a dealership who can do the job? LOL that's not true.

Why is everyone getting their letters now and saying parts haven't come in.

I got my recall done 3 weeks ago now.

I just got off the phone from a complete di#k of a service agent...seriously, they must train these people to treat us like utter fools.

Last week I called a different dealership where I purchased my car, and was told I should have received my second letter already, to which I replied..."no I have not received it...and this is why I am calling". I was then politely told he would look into it and get back to me. No call as yet.

So just this morning, I speak to a scumbag at SY dealership and was informed they cannot tell me when the second letter will be sent out but it won't be far away. The moment I began telling him I had already been informed otherwise of my second letter...and can I give you my rego number to check... he replied with a sharp NO!!, and his whole tone changed and he began talking over the top of me relentlessly.

The blood pressure pinged so I then reminded him of the public's general perception of the constant and ongoing fingering and bad attitude displayed by the many employees towards us customers. I then hung up!

Like I've said before...don't expect a second letter, arrange to have it done.

If you're denied ask to speak to the service manager, if you're denied speak to VWAG if you're denied by the case manager (Which i highly doubt) then you take it to the safety bureau advising them that VWAG have refused to conduct a safety recall as per the ACCC "voluntary recall".

I'd like to see how those spineless cockroaches reply if they were ever to be served with a departmental writ.

Hence why I'll be moving on from Volkswagen global products and its partners.
