Thread: DSG "False Neutral" Yesterday...

    Should I bother with telling the dealer then? Or is this something that really just happens with DSG's?

    So my GTI has been at the dealer since Thursday AM for the 3rd set of clutches to be installed.

    Friday I get a call to tell me that VAG has told them to keep the car over the (long) weekend and do some extensive long distance driving to ensure the new clutches are all 'aligned'.

    Call them today and they still want the car (indefinitely) until VAG are satisfied that the new clutches aren't going to do the same thing. They've told me that there is a 'reason behind the two sets of clutches failing' and they want to make sure it's all good. What the reason is, I wasn't told!

    It all seems a little funny to me so I don't know what to think. I also hate to think how many extra kms are being racked up and whether I'll get the full tank of fuel back that they got with the car.

    Anyone who has had their clutches replace experienced the same???

    I though you have the right to know all information on your car and what is exactly being done if requested?
