    Driver Side Fog Lamp?

    Hi,

So my driver side Fog Lamp isn't working, shouldn't I be getting a warning light?

Or does that show that it isn't a bulb and I should give the dealer a buzz?

Try and disconnect the other side and see if it brings up the error.

    RE: Driver Side Fog Lamp?

It may not be set correctly in the cecm module to detect it. If you don't have a cable, try to get someone to check. Mine was happy without any fogs it wasn't set. When I set monitoring, it detected when the lights were unplugged

Thanks, I might have to disconnect the passenger one tomorrow. No access to a VAG-COM unfortunately.

The car is only a few months old and I've only used the fogs a few times so I'm surprised one has gone. But you do get bad globes sometimes I guess.

.. remember if VW is anything like people like ford, the globes are covered for the life of the new car warranty

no warranty on globes/bulbs.....cold bulb monitor doesnt always work for all lamps... depends on year..model..and set up... my jetta blows one No plate light bulb and no warning.. when the other goes it put the dash warning on. .. swop over the bulbs just to check but sure it will be a blow bulb only....VDUB...

just make sure first you dont have turning lights! put light on driving beam then turn wheel in left lock to see if left lights up then right lock to see if right lights up.... ive seen so many people not know this and leave there steering on a slight angle and think one side is inop!! VDUB....

I initially thought it might be something little like that when stationary, but it clearly isn't working when I turn them on while driving.

It's going in to the dealer next week when my new wheels arrive so they said they'll look at it then.
