I guess if your order is already being processed through the NADCON system, then yes, it is too late. What colour were you thinking of? don't like silver?

Sup Joe, just experiencing some cognitive dissonance after seeing a metalic black polo GTI 5 door parked in the car park today. my order went into the NADCON system months ago I assume as I put the deposit down on Jan 29th. Just a thought, I'd still be quite happy with metalic silver but was just wondering the exact cut off time you can adjust your order...

Yeah, I had a black C4. Black cars look great.....when clean Far too much work to keep them that way, silver will be more forgiving.

Might shoot off an e-mail to the salesperson, see what he says. Otherwise I'll just say I'd also be happy with anyone who cancels their order on a metalic black GTI i guess...

Yeah - I've mentioned this to GTI Joe before, but your order is put into NADCON as soon as the contract (and/or law) allows it (and then the sales guy gets around to it). You can then change it practically as much as you want, but each time it can delay progression through to production. When it's too close to production, you then can't change the order.

On second thoughts, think I might save the trouble and stick will relaxed, cool-silver metalic. Save the trouble of having to clean the layer of road dust everytime I park back at the house. Also, don't want to risk losing my Sept/Oct arrival for a delayed progression through to production which could put the GTI arriving in 2012.

    Thanks, for the insight.

12 month wait periods = "instant" / "double speed"? lol...

Corey is right Gladiator, a wise choice if you want your Polo GTI in a reasonable (Volkswagen reasonable) time frame
And just remember, Russell Crowe had a silver model helmet and he looked pretty cool

pologti18t - going for personal attacks now? Really?

As I have said here a number of times I ordered in Dec and wanted a late May delivery (almost 6 months) to be able to swap over cars without having to incur more insurance, registration and servicing on my existing car. The dealer said that they had a week 9 build slot which would allow this to happen. It then disappeared somewhere between the dealer and VGA. Someone lied and no one is fessing up as to who did. I'm not ordering a GTI, as per my signature I'm ordering a 77TSI. I don't own an iPad (1 or 2). I just want a car in the time that was promised to me as it's financially bad for me to have a late delivery.

Well, that's an easy one themmc:
    1) The dealer miscommunicated in December that the week 9 build slot was confirmed (because we all know that no build slot is confirmed that many weeks out); or
    2) The dealer lied; or
    3) Kinda related to option 1, but maybe you misunderstood or made an assumption on what they were telling you about the build date. They may not have said it was confirmed, but you assumed it was

I'm not having a go at your or saying which one of those options was the case, but what I can tell you from your last post is that none of this is the fault of VGA.
