Wasn't this the DSG that has just been recalled due to failure.
I would make sure the recall has been done on the vehicle.
Hey all,
After spending the past few months wondering the site, picking up information where I can, I'm finally ready to make a decision on purchasing a new 77TSI DSG with the Sports Pack. I've been quoted $24,500 from Masaro Volkswagen (Morwell) for a MY13 model in red. Was looking for the comfort pack too, but unsure it's really worth the extra coin.
Anyone else been able to do better around Melbourne (with or without comfort pack)? Cheers

It's worth it and you can't add it later. Not quite as compelling a deal perhaps as the rear view camera in Mark VI GTIs and Rs, but still fairly compelling.
You'll remember your decision every time it gets dark and every time it rains if you leave it out, but you won't ever think about the cost ($500 still?) again if you option it in.
PS - I acquired my [Polo] TSI second hand and it did not have the Comfort Pack whereas auto lights and rain sensing wipers are standard on our GTI. Upshot is I do not bother turning the lights off if I am parking it at night for short periods. Also, while I say it is compelling as the extra convenience justifies the cost, I think VW is gouging a bit by charging $500 considering how little it must cost to include electronics and sensors providing the additional functionality, i.e. it should be standard!
PPS - I upgrade the CP option from "compelling" to "no-brainer" having read, below, what the CP entails, although it is a shame it does not include auto lights.

If the answer to the Monty Hall problem was 50/50, the contestant, on average, would win the car 50% of the time simply by sticking with their original guess...but you can only win a one-in-three guessing game 33.33% of the time so it can't be 50/50, can it?
Is it new? And if so why are you buying a Mk6. Mk7 is only a couple of grand more and its lightyears ahead of the mk6. Mk6 will also depreciate like a lead balloon now that mk7 is available.

MY12 Passat 125TDi Wagon - Reflex Silver (The family wagon)
MY14 Amarok Trendline TDi400 - Sand Beige (weekend off roader)
Why is this thread in the Polo 6R section?
Wait, hang on... Is the OP talking about a 77TSI Polo or Golf VI? The two posts before me have me confused.

nway91 wants to buy a polo... other people think he wants a golf....
24,500 for dsg with sports pack, imho, is pretty good. for my my12.5 (candy white, 77tsi, dsg, sports, comfort and $755 spoiler) i was quoted ~27k but asked around and got one for 25,380.
and get the comfort pack, those seemingly small features are really worth it (for 500 why not?).
Actually for $500 the comfort pack is exceptional value. You only get the dimming rear view mirror, rain sensing wipers (which with this module you can get auto headlights with a simple headlight switch change) and the auto climate control unit but its well worth the money for the technology that's included
Just look at the auto climate control: you go from the old manual mechanical Aircon in which you move the vents by hand through gears and shafts to a fully automatic system which has 7 different fan speeds, and fully electric motorised flaps and vents - not to mention the cool looking screen which just completes the interior. Just those parts together add up to more than $500!
At the end of the day It's probably not something you would look into as far as seeing value, which is a shame. You will only notice these awesome features when you step into a car which doesnt have them. All I can say is I regret never getting the sports/comfort pack as standard, but l learned...

Just FYI comfort pack doesn't include auto lights from factory.
To mod in auto lights you need xenons and comfort, which means its impossible/expensive to get auto lights on a non-GTI model.
But yes, the comfort pack is still worth it.

Like the OP, I was referring to the Polo TSI and, in particular, to the manual one that I own.
I don't believe you could even get the Comfort Pack on a Golf 77 TSI . . . 77TDI perhaps, but not the TSI.
PS - as I bought second hand I was not aware entirely sure what CP comprised, but I assumed it was wipers and lights . . . glad to know I am not missing out on auto lights which are very handy on our Golf.
Now I have read of the entirety of the package I would repeat what I said in my earlier post a fortiori.
