CTHE is to have the same power and torque figures as CAVE so don't be surprised if the power and forced induction delivery are the same. Look for the differences to be internal rather than external, along the lines of the differences between the 2 1.8 Turbo motors in the Mk4 Golf GTI. I would say new pistons and rings from the factory would be a good starting point, along with better ECU programming maybe, also potentially a bigger intercooler and/or radiator because aside from the oil consuption and squealing supercharger clutches, the major issues for these engines is heat. Something they might have deduced if the labour-party flogs in the NT never introduced the130kph speed limit that now kills more people than it saves so auto companies could still come and do hot weather, high speed testing without the fear of ending up in a ditch on the side of the road. (rant over!)
Just to let you know also, ERWIN list up the repair manuals already for the 8 speed auto and 2.0 TSI petrol motor for the Amarok and that's not due for several months either, nothing regarding new engines for the 6R polo, especially CTHE so don't hold your breath because even now with only 2 months until the supposed introduction to production lines, this is still a rumour.
