Gavs isn't a GTI. It's more like a GeeeeeTI. Holly crap 150+ KW from a 1.4, and you see this thing take off, it's like a BLOODY GUN

I need to see that beast
I know I should know this, but how many torques (TopGear reference) does Gavs get?

Well the standard GTI is 250nm. With a standard tune it's 300nm so I would guess something in excess of 320nm. As Gavs said last night his throttle has 2 stages...Fast and CRAZY FAST haha

Geeeeezzz that sounds mental. Is it even possible to pull off without wheel spin with that much torque?

Guess you have to take off with very light throttle and crank up the XDL settings.

    I suppose so.
Torque is the biggest difference between our two cars, the Meg has 195 nm and the Polo has 230 nm. On our driveway (steep, gravel) you cannot avoid wheel spin in the Polo but you have to try very hard in the Meg for the front wheels to do anything.

Yeah, I don't know about keeping up with Gavs, but I don't think I slowed up the group as much as expected...hahaha I do recall a look of disbelief when I mentioned it was diesel hahaha

My Average fuel was 6.9L/100km after the run, up from about 4.9 haha
