Wow, am I the only one with this?
Hopefully the dealer knows what it could be, I'll post next week just in case anyone else ever has anything similar.
Can anyone tell me what the creaking springy like sound that comes from the passenger side when you go on and off the throttle is?
It's not a plastic thing I'm pretty sure, more like a creaky spring sound but not the suspension.
Any info would be great. The car is going in next week to have a fog light fixed so it'd be handy to point them in the right direction beforehand.
Thanks.

It could be a loose dashboard mounting with the body moving just a little as you go on and off the throttle.
Now, no matter how "stiff" you might think the body is, Hooke's law can be written to read that something must deflect to resist. No movement, means no load. It does not take much. I have designed large (triple 400 kW conveyor drives) that had problems of alignment when someone would walk on an adjacent walkway. The movement was a fraction of a millimetre, but enough for a precision pin to not align with the holes.
I tended to hear something like that too. It was there only upon take off and rather quiet. Sounded like a creaky spring.
Turned out some sort of rubber washer in the transmission had shifted and was causing the noise, but it seemed to be coming from the passenger dash area. My dealer found it and fixed it under warranty

If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)
So after another trip to the dealership it has been diagnosed as the washer from the transmission. A part has been ordered.

Seems to be a general Polo (GTI) thing then. Glad you can finally get it sorted.

I have a spring sounding squeak from the passenger side as well but I've narrowed it down to the passenger side air vent. If i apply a little bit of pressure just to the right of the vent, it goes away...not sure if this is the washer for the transmission.
