Just thought someone would know where the cars are made.....I am pretty positive that the TSI's aren't built in south africa? redbook seems to think they are built there...is it correct or am i right?
how is the build quality relative to the Wolfsberg Golf GTIs/Rs?
Current ride: 2014 Range Rover Evoque 5 Door TD4 Pure | 9 Spd Auto | Fuji White | Black Leather | 19 inch 'Dynamic' Wheels
Previous rides: MY11.5 Golf GTI 5 door | DSG | Candy White | 18' Detriots | Bluetooth | K&N Air Filter | Dancing Dials (Oh Yeah!)
| 1989 Porsche 944S2 Coupe| Guards Red| Leather| Sunroof| LSD
After driving a Polo in Germany i didn't really see much difference in the build quality. What i did see is that they have different options. The car i had didn't have auto windscreen wipers, cruise control or steering wheel controls. But it did have heated seats, climate control and had side trims on all the doors etc......and to be honest...much nicer standard rims than the ones they give us. They were 16's and i would of preferred them.
In Europe all new cars "should" by law have to have
Climate control, Heated Seats due to the climate and harsh winters they have, that even includes tyres.
Edit: Northern Europe only.

I never knew that they had to have heated seats by law. Thats pretty cool. I just was in the understanding that they had to put winter tyres on during the winter.
If heated seats are compulsory for Europe shouldnt a beer fridge and cigarette dispenser be compulsory for all Australian cars?
They're all pretty rubbish, but still considerably better than anything out of thailandhow is the build quality relative to the Wolfsberg Golf GTIs/Rs?![]()
