Conical Seat Wheel Lug Bolts – M14x1.5 – 28mm Shank

Does anyone know any place in Melbourne where I can find these conical lug bolts? The VW OEM ball seat lug bolts will not work with aftermarket wheels.

Some of you guys must have bought these for your aftermarket wheels. I have spoken to several wheel and tyre places and searched the guts out of the interwebs in Australia but no success.

I will order some nice McGard black lug bolts from the U.S. but they'll take 2 weeks to arrive so I just want to buy some locally so I can get the new wheels on the car asap.

    Thanks in advance.

ECS Tuning in the states is where alot of guys get them, pretty cheap for the parts, you will just have to wear the shipping cost. In soime cases, like my coolant sensor, it was cheaper including the shipping than buying from a VW stealer!

There's certainly no shortage of websites selling them in the U.S....I just cannot get my head around the fact these are impossible to find here. Shipping costs don't concern me, it's just the wait time.

Cheers for the link. I actually called Gary Barker at Carshine this morning and he informed me they don't have any.

There's nothing odd about the length at all, the 28mm length is the same as OEM lug bolts. Its the seat which is different as mentioned above – conical seat vs ball seat.

But most aftermarket wheels have conical seats so I'm staggered that they're not readily available.

They have conical nuts so if you pair them with the right length stud, then you'll have your lug nut

    I too am staggered.

Just got off the phone from a chap @ Stonestar Australia in Dingley who claims he has what I need in 28mm so I'll be heading out there on Saturday. I will report back the findings.
