Unhappy 'Clunk' or 'knocking' right hand side front Polo Gti anyone else...?

Just taken the Gti back to the 'stealer' for the DSG recall (!) and I've asked them to investigate a clunk or a knocking sound from the right hand side front... It sounds as if something is pivoting or swinging around a 'bolt'.... when you brake or go over bumps... either deep inside the footwell or front suspension.

Best description I could give was to imagine if something had two 'bolts' to fasten it but one has dropped out and the 'thing' is swinging around the remaining bolt when you braked or went over bumps....???

Car is only 2013 model and only 2k's old and its a puzzle.. the 'stealer ' can hear it but hasn't a clue where or what it is..

    anyone else had somethong similar....?

Just wondering are you 100% it's not just the "normal" DSG operation - that sounding like a bag of bolts rattling around the engine bay?

Other things it could be is the air con pipes that vibrate on the chassis (I never had this problem so I'm not sure where to look but I know some people had then moved)

...and then there is the fuel line rattle which annoyingly resonates all the way down to the tank - Funny thing is you can only hear it when you are in the car. You can't hear it from the engine bay over the engine noise. On the driver side of the engine bay there is a shaft going down and back to the tank (just next to the brake fluid reservoir) with 2 pipes coming out of it. Move the pipes around a bit and see if it stops rattling.

It's not the clutches opening/closing? Mine make a really audible clack noise when going on/off the throttle at low speed, especially obvious with the windows down.

Sounds like it could be a worn CV joint, but you wouldn't think so only after 2k kms.
