yeah man i must say, having seen that sunroof in the flesh on a forum member's tdi last week, that is frigging awesome.

such a nice feature for this time of year, too (before it hits 45°C every day like it does in australia and saudi arabia, the sahara etc etc)

seriously anyone who gets the auto is a dumbass - this thing is AMAZING - i took it for a drive in the Adelaide Hills tonight and couldn't be happier!!! it is more fun than go-karting

only issue with the sports body kit is it makes it very very low to the ground, have already scratched the bottom of it (not noticeable unless you look underneath) going out of a driveway. but the looks are worth it, even if you piss off soccer mums in their SUVs by going 3kph over speed humps.

I take you on this! So, you better post the pictures when you get it or face the permanent ban!

I used to be of the same opinion coming from a strong manual background and working out my heel-and-toe method, my clutch/gearstick balance to get it as quick as possible etc but after living with the DSG for 4 months now, I love it and find it far more enjoyable to drive than rowing through a manual gearbox on a proper twisty mountain road. That said, if the GTI came with the manual, would I have picked over the DSG?

    Probably, yep

But would I go back....... Nope
