Changing polo tsi Springs to gti springs

    Hey guys
just wondering if anyone has done this and if it can be archived by a novice.. I've watched a few YouTube vids and it looks do able but I don't have Spring compressors. Or should I let a wheel joint put them in?
And would I gain a slightly lower ride and the car feeling a bit stiffer? I want to lessen body roll
i don't want it low just sit nice with some 17" eventually
    thanks

If you want to change the front springs and keep the current shocks, you need spring compressors

They are pretty cheap (for cheaper ones):
Toledo Coil Spring Compressor Macpherson - 311285 - Supercheap Auto Australia

    ...even less on eBay...

sure you're probably only going to use them once though

There is probably someone around that could lend you a set... probably?

Dont change to the gti springs, they are too hard for a road car.... I love the gti but at 110 on the freeway it can get rough! Pretty sure thats why VW have put adjustable sus as standard now.

I agree the GTI suspension is firm.
But thats why you buy a GTI for a sports version.
If you want a family car you buy a commodore.
