    Centre console trim torx screws

A couple of questions: I pulled apart the centre console in my Polo 6C to install an extra USB socket in the dash, and along the way I dropped one of the torx screws into where the multimedia control unit goes, nowhere to be seen.

So my first question is, where can I buy a replacement screw? It's a black truss-head screw approx 11.5mm x 2.5mm head and 16.5mm long thread with about 10 turns.

Second question is more of a curiosity. As I was removing all of the trim screws, I noticed that two of them were different, in that instead of having a pointy tip, these two were slightly blunted, and they also had a slightly different thread (more course than all the others, if I recall correctly). I didn't notice the difference until I'd taken a few other screws out, so when I re-installed them, I took a guess that they went into the holes that are angled slightly inwards, holding in place the cowling that goes under the dash and either side into the footwell. Everything seemed to go back together fine, but I'd really prefer that the right screws go into the right holes, so if anyone knows for sure where they belong, I'd be grateful to hear.

Try your local VW dealer. I have purchased many in the past but admittedly mainly torque to yield screws & bolts.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

You usually find the coarse threaded screw go into plastic and the fine threads go into metal so sort out which goes where. Also will be hard to screw a fine thread into a coarse thread hole as it wont want to bite. Or is it it the other way round.. One way wont like it.
