I find it VERY easy to clip and unclip the seat belt with the armrest down. You just have to figure out how to do it, not that difficult. Same with the handbrake, just use your fingers to pull and release the handbrake

Amazing! I have 2 friends around your height who felt obliged to opt out of the polo because of their size and the driving position.

I agree with you otherwise... no issues with clicking in the belt. A little annoying re the handbrake. My previous car had no centre armrest, so this feels luxurious!

Wow, its getting a bit bitchy in here!! Personally I quite enjoy using the armrest while driving my (manual) polo.. The seatbelt is fine for me and I either bend my arm under (however the handbrake comes slightly to the right when doing this) or over and around the armrest to use the handbrake.. Even if those actions are uncomfortable for some, it only takes a very small amount of time to lift the armrest in comparison to the amount of time spent driving.. I know I always tend to take the long way everywhere now!

I don't have an armrest in my current car and I have a very bad habit of resting my hand on the gear stick. There are some who say it's bad for the gearbox, and some who say otherwise. If it is true, then I'll be happy just having an arm rest, even if it is in an awkward position.

Sighhhh...my initial response was not directed at the 'useless' comment as posted by someone else...but in fact the second sentence. There was no intent to offend that's why I chose to follow it up...but obviously I hit a nerve. My bad.
