Thread: BOV Polo 6r GTI

I understand what you are after, but in short, anything that makes that noise (lets the boost out) will hurt performance - if it lets too much out, car will go into limp mode.

    Quick solution - buy this

    LOL Guy!

That "thing" is ugly. Only good thing there is the blower, and hopefully it is connected to a supercharger. This is what VW should have added on the GTIs
    POLO 77TSI DSG 5D - MY11 - REFLEX SILVER - COMFORT PACK
    Engine - K&N Air Filter (e-2997)
    AV - Rockford Fosgate T1652-S , T1652 and P3L-S12 Sub. Alpine MRP-F600 and Alpine MRP-M500, Dynamat
Planned - lots, but the "financial manager" says NO

Ok in this way it's clear BOV to avoid!
and I don't think i'll should buy this, even with the 180 hp I manage to scare me! ^^

If you open up the airbox, you hear more induction noise, only problem with that is it allows hot air in, which then reduces performance. It's the way these things are designed (to recirculate) - if you "vent to atmosphere" with the blow off noise, you are venting intake / engine vapors which they spend thousands on trying to contain!
