too bad its around $500, would've been interested if it wasn't a ridiculous price right now.

Blow off valves are not a good idea on these cars that have a diverter valve, there are many many threads about them and why they adversely affect performance etc.

If you're after the "pssstch" noise then maybe a supra or 200sx would have been a better choice... in all seriousness though, for the sake of a sound that leaves most people shaking their heads at you as you drive past, would you really spend $500 to make the performance of your car WORSE and more unreliable....?

My MY16 GTI already has a muted psshhht sound as it diverts the boost as stock. More than loud enough in my opinion

Ok, just making sure you weren't putting one on a dsg, you may as well have just set 5 bills on fire if that was the case. Even so, the factory diverter valve with the GFB DV+ will be a far better solution IF you go to a stage 2 or greater tune, otherwise there will be no benefit at all, the factory one is that good.

Gavs, I've got full APR Stage 2 on my 6R Polo GTI. (7 Speed DSG)

I see the GFB DV+ stuff come up from time to time in threads and have always been in two minds.

DSG means not worth it in my case then hey?

The Forge BOV's have been known to give trouble (generally be unreliable) on the 2.0TSI engines found in the Mk6 Golf era vehicles. And the Forge intakes had huge issues with incorrectly sized MAF housings on the Golf R.....i wouldn't buy their products.

Keep an eye on CTS, Unitronic, GFB and Turbosmart as they make better quality stuff, and no doubt will have/already have some products available for the Gen 3 EA888 engine.
