Bent wiper arms?

I recently had the wiper arms off the windscreen, and before placing them back, I accidently activated the wipers and of course the arms hit the bonnet.

The wipers now squeak at the top of each stroke no matter how wet the glass. The wipe action itself is smooth.

Are the wiper arms bent causing the squeak?

Actually the arm might be twisted ,my Tiguan was doing the same,
you need to small shifters hold the wiper at the top and bottom and twist just the part above the main wiper arm use a cloth so not to mark the paint

My drivers side one has done that since new Even a new set of wiperblades only helped for a short time

Mine didnt squeak it shuddered at the top of the stroke on return because the rubber didnt swap direction at the top.

i took mine to Tweedheads VW and they just adjusted the arm, after that it never shuddered .
