One to two months would be if the car you've ordered was already made and is on the way to OZ. If it is going to be build then expect 3 months or more.

Hi,
we are looking at getting a new polo TDI DSG, what were your wait times;
as quoted by the dealer?
actual?
we have been quoted a 1-2 months wait times and after reading this website we are sceptical....
is it possible the wait times are shorter because we are looking at a diesel ?
thanks for your replies!!!

Where are you getting your Polo?
Quite a few dealers here in Syd have the TDI in stock. You probably should visit a few to see if you could buy a floor stock.
Took me 4 months, ordered in May, built in July, picking up 14 Sept.
Its a 77TSI DSG, but agree with BR @ ON, some dealers in Melbourne have TDI's in stock too.
There appears to be a considerable delay for anyone who has ordered the RCD510/Audio/MDI pack. Seems (by all accounts) that VW has low stocks of these items and this has had a considerable effect on proposed delivery times.
We ordered in June.....ETA is late November.
I was quoted 3 months for a 77TSI DSG, but that was 2 months ago and not a word from the dealer yet -presume it is going to be held up by the RCD510 delays.
Call you nearest dealer, they are only too happy to let you know!
I put my deposit down in May and was told by end of September at the latest.
I still have no VIN though so likely it still hasn't been built yet or my car has gone to someone else (who may have paid more perhaps) which wouldn't surprise me. Business as usual I guess, customer service is not a priority it would seem. I could be wrong offcourse but that's the perception I have at the moment.
