So what's you beef with the tune, not what you expected, not enough power/torque?
There is the ability to erase fault codes. So for example you unplug something with the ignition on it will log and store a fault. One you plug it back in you can then clear the fault if this option is uploaded during the tune.
There is also a security code for the tune so you can lock It and no one else can change the program it's on. Wether it be the 98ron tune or stock

I don't have a beef (as yet) I just haven't noticed much of a difference drivability wise. Iv had a thew cars I have got tuned and you can tell the difference between stock and tuned straight up ( throttle response, pickup, no flat spots ect). This one I can't. I'm not going to make any calls untill I look into it more. Going to do some runs when I get my gear back from a mate. Maybe a quick dyno check. But I ran around the block in stock and then went to the tune and did the same block after it had cooled back down (amb temp was the same) and felt no difference. Might check boost with vcds but I'm not sure if boost is increased with the tune or not, where and what increase from stock.
True, but VW will disagree. If you are worried about a vehicle with issues with seals, rings and DSG, think about your warranty.
My Polo (older 1.8t) is a very reliable engine, many suitable spares out there and a generic gearbox. Your fancy TFSI and DSG are crazy expensive to repair if something goes sour.
Sorry for the gloomy attitude, but you need to make an informed decision. VW is known to put up walls as soon as they see the ECU has been touched.
6 hour trial is only for ECU's that aren't CAVE engine ID, which sadly is mine so no trial for me. But just thought I should let people know.
