I am looking at buying a 2015 Polo GTi 9 (oct15 build) I am curious to know if it has Apple CarPlay as standard?

Mine's an MY2017 Polo Gti 1.8L and Apple Car Play works perfectly.

It will have it. I got an April build in May 2015 and it didn’t have it, then a month later they released an update with CarPlay but it’s not backwards compatible. I was and still am fuming.

All I know is that it only has mirror link in the menu and not app-connect

According to RedBook data, they had CarPlay from Jun 2015 onwards.

Has to be an MY16 though.

late reply...So now I have apple CarPlay/Android auto, I ended up replacing the CD player in the glove box that was modified and unlocked.
