It should be covered under warranty. Providing you haven't tampered with anything to do with or near the airbags. If you purchased the car in 2011 it should be covered till 2014.
As the thread title states, my Polo is experiencing an airbag error. Pops up on the MFD as I start my car and the little orange airbag symbol stays lit up, It started Friday evening as I started my car, about an hour after I got home from work.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I spoke to VW Essendon first thing Saturday morning and they said they couldn't even book me in for an appointment, computers down or something. Went on to say diagnostics would be $145 an hour?!?!?
Kinda of hoping for a non stealer way to fix this, any ideas?

That's what I thought. Car is completely stock so the warranty shouldn't be an issue, just gotta find the time to get the car to VW.

Lol what a load of crap, that's a warrantee problem and WILL cost you nothing (unless you have tampered with anything).
I think it is safe to say that there are only 1 or 2 good dealers out there, Burwin been the only one I can deal with 'cos they don't tell me bulls**t to my face...

Yeah, unfortunately that ship has sailed for me too, but on the bright side, they are the best of a bad bunch!

forget Essendon they are a waste of time. If you can go a bit further go to Bayford at Epping. My car broke down 200 metres from Essendon VW and they refused to look at for two weeks. Needless to say i went somewhere else. That response is complete garbage.

I live in Preston so Essendon is the most convenient and haven't been TOO bad in the past. They couldn't diagnose my DSG problems, car not taking off at times. I was told they couldn't anything about it until they experience the problem themselves. Problem still happens a few times a week.
