I ran 215's on a 18x9 +38 in the rear with no issues. As low as the KW V1's would go.
I have 18x8J +35 on the rear with 225 tyres on and they scrub pretty much at every big bump or dip in the road. Even at a high stance they rub. I doubt the rear fenders are much wider than the fronts, if anything i'd say they're about the same

Yeah IMO 225 is way too fat for an 8 - that's why you're scrubbing. As BLN355 has pointed out you can go low on the rear with a skinny tyre and you're fine - I'm running a 195 on an 17x8" so it's a little stretch - as low as the KW V1's would go and then some with an adjuster cup and bumpstop delete and I still can't go low enough to scrub on the rear - front's a different story.

Pretty much the same parts when it comes to suspension and how much width you can fit under the arches - you guys can pull off 18's though, that I am jealous off.
OT - ATYPIC are you coming up to Albury for V-Dubs in the Square (28th April QEII Square, Dean Street Albury) - I remember ages ago you saying you have family up this way that's all.

What size tire do you recon I should run on 17x8?
Tossing up between 205/40 or 195/45.
well considering that the rolling diameter will be different with those two, you should match that same size as standard!
