Advices needed about RevoTechnik Stage 1

    Hi All,

    Recently purchased a 2012 Polo GTI 6R MY12.5

Have been thinking of doing a couple of upgrades.

    Feedback would be appreciated.

    1. I have been contemplating on doing the revotechnik stage 1. Just cannot seem to find reviews about this. Is it a good idea??

This is my first VW so i want to be careful with what i do.

Love the car but i just want that little bit of extra kick.

I would go with someone local for support as the Polo GTI does have known issues with oil management and DSG.

The DSG issues relate to the DQ200 and DQ250 DSG box which is included in the Polo GTI.
Technically the recall is for the 09-11 cars but i know of many outside that range that have issues.

Advices needed about RevoTechnik Stage 1

All people I personally know of with a Revo tune on this car have had it removed and gone elsewhere. Revo also remove some of the critical safety issues relating to engine operation in their programming which as far as I know, apr, custom code, giac and viezu don't. Shop around my friend.

    Appreciate the help boys.

Just another question will a RNS510 GOLF GTI deck fit in the polo?

is it a straight swap over?

Might be worth jumping over to the Octavia and mk6 golf forums mate, plenty of info over there but I know 2 guys with it and they both love it however, my stage 2 polo beats both of them

Haven't heard great things about the RevoTechnik stuff either for the same reason as gavs.

I went custom, but I think you'd be fine going to APR or some other mainstream tuner too.
