Depends on what phone handset you have and your usage patterns. I used to use it a shedload on the JVC unit i had in 6n1 due to the fact that the only other option was AUX (which sucked) and the USB port stuck out the front so it looked crappy.
On the 6R not so much, as most things i just load onto the SD card which sits flush in the unit and given the large touchscreen functionality of the RCD510 it negates any need I would have had to use it on the iPhone anyway. Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are times that it WOULD be useful, however I have not had it long enough to work out what one of them would be. I have only had BT for a week now but in that time, i have not actually had the urge to use it at all.
Like I posed above though, I think we may need a little more information / correlation as to whether the AD2P integration (or a different / more advanced form of it) is provided through the actual BT module or the RCD unit. A few different people with and without the functionality posting their part numbers should show what is happening
