77tsi DNA tune, forge intake, down pipe ?? Discussion

    Hi guys
    I have a stock 77tsi polo
Looking at getting the DNA tune done

Has anyone got the forge intake kit ? For $400 odd dollars I can't find any feedback on it

Also has anyone had a custom catless down pipe made for our engine,

Any other performance hints/ tips / experiences ?

I'm thinking the same minus the intake. I don't think there is any measurable restriction with the factory intake. I don't think forge do the intake for the 1.2 TSI and the GTi one definitely doesn't work at all.

I'm hoping to make a 2.25" down pipe with a very high flow cat in the next month or so and get a DNA tune also. The stock piping is only 45mm right out of the turbo. I'll replace the stock section with 2.25" back to around 300mm rear of the engine then a gradual taper back down to 45mm. I'm realistically expecting very minimal gains because the turbine housing really is 95% of the exhaust restriction.

Ill wait to hear from you about how your down pipe goes,
I also wouldn't expect many gains but hey a gain is a gain.
Forge do an intake for the seat 1.2 which appears like it should work without any issues.
Do you plan on doing full exhaust, or just rear muff delete and down pipe ?
What is the factory infer cooler like ? Could say a stock xr6 turbo cooler work ,

Replacing the plenum integrated water to air intercooler would be a really bad idea IMO. Maybe adding another radiator and a higher flowing pump for the water to air intercooling system could have gains. Exhaust wise, I would ideally like to replace the middle 45mm section with 2" pipe back to where the stock system steps up to 2" but because it's the wife's car, I really don't wanna take the risk of it being too loud. Very tempting though. We'll see what happens.

Wasn't even aware it was a water to air cooler. Haha
