6R0 615 301 = 256 x 22 mm
6R0 615 301 A = 288 x 25 mm
First time on the forums in 6 months, amazing to see we're not the only ones with a peice of **** lemon Polo. Faulty coilpacks, fuel rattle, getting towed to dealers multiple times, etc!
Anyway latest issue which is all too common here is the Polo's brakes are buggered at less than 35,000km's. I'm not going back to VW to have them replaced with the OEM rubbish and repeat in 12-18mths but before I can try something else, need to know what I'm ordering.
For a 2010 Polo 6R, ETKA says the front rotors part number is 6R0 615 301 A but 288x25mm. This isn't right as the 6R 77TSI has 256x22mm front and 230x9mm rear to the best of my knowledge? To further confuse things, googling that part number gives products in both 288x25mm and 256x22mm.
It's a rather large difference so I'm doing something wrong. The best I could find here was someone who'd bought HPX pads and RDA rotors. Searching those items gives me the right size, 256x22mm but not the correlating OEM part numbers.
Anyone able to fill in the blanks and tell me what the OEM part numbers are?Pads:
DB1405HPX
DB1192HPX
Rotors:
RDA7196S
RDA7199S
6R0 615 301 = 256 x 22 mm
6R0 615 301 A = 288 x 25 mm
Cant recommend the Remsa pads enough as a high quality aftermarket street pad. Much lower wear than the stock pads and also much lower brake dust.
So just like most forum members, ETKA thinks all 6R Polos are GTIs

VW - Metallic Paint, Radial Tyres, Laminated Windscreen, Electric Windows, VW Alloy Wheels, Variable Geometry Exhaust Driven Supercharger, Direct Unit Fuel Injection, Adiabatic Ignition, MacPherson Struts front, Torsion Beam rear, Coil Springs, Hydraulic Dampers, Front Anti-Roll Bar, Disc Brakes, Bosch ECU, ABS
Full set for my Golf was about $220 from memory. Polo might be a bit cheaper due to smaller pads. GSL Rallysport (sponsor on this forum) sell them if your interested in getting a quote. See link here for info on the Remsa pads: http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...eek-78602.html
