Yeah... Put an intake on it! Remember, manufacturers or obligated to keep noise down.
So i picked up my new 6C GTI with the 1.8 TFSI engine and now after doing 500 odd kms, including some tunnel runs it seems like the turbo is really pretty quiet in it, which is a bit of a shame.
Is everyone elses almost not audible?
Anything that can be done to improve it?

Intake. I have a vwr intake pipe and turbo inlet and it's still pretty quiet.
Hmmm maybe this as well, has anyone done one of these?

I was considering one until I read what a bastard they are to install. Install time if you’re a pro can be one hour while others have taken 4 hours due to its tight location.
This would be a cheaper option and delivery cost should be reasonable. $190 AU with delivery.

yeah good point, i watched a few videos on youtube of the install (in a golf) and it seemed like a pain, and thats a larger engine bay so in the polo it sounds like a nightmare.
Its just a shame that they fitted a muffler on a GTI and its a pain to remove. Might have to leave it.
