    215/40/17 tyres hard to find??

I am trying to find a tyre place that stocks 215/40/17 tyres!
(need to replace the original Dunlops that came on the Polo GTI)
It seems like they all say the same thing "thats an odd size...have to order it in etc..."

I have been quoted $250+ per tyre...

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hey Tigger

Try KMart. They usually have the Dunlops in stock and at $60 - $70 cheaper

+1 for St George Tyres. cheap, easy to buy from, quick delivery, and did i mention cheap?

(its a diffferent size tyre but...) ku39 215/35r18 @local bob jane would have been 260 each, St G was 145 each plus 80 delivery for all 4

Same fitment as many Polo 9N3 owners on 17's. There is a sticky with over 400 posts.
I had Ku31's which are good for the $100-120 a corner price for the first 1/2 of their life.
Currently running Federal 595 RSR's on the front at closer to $200 a corner (lotsa grip in the dry, hoping for 20,000 kms)

Other options include, Nexen N6000, Bridgestone RE002, Goodyear Eagle F1, Achilles ATR Sport, Pirelli P Zero Nero.
