Question 2015 VW Polo Bluetooth. HELP! Problem or normal?

I have an iPhone and I use it to stream music via Bluetooth. I find I need to have my phone super close to the head unit or it will cut out and 'skip' when playing audio.

Example; when it's in my pocket, it skips. But if it's in the cup holder right under the screen, it's fine.

Now I thought it may be my iPhone, but I tried it in my Audi and no problems what so ever even at a distance. Plus I don't have any other issues with the phones Bluetooth (I actually tried it in the car wth another iPhone and same result).

What about other Polo owners, what's your experience?

No probs here. I leave it in my pocket and it connects fine and I haven't heard it skip once. Though admittedly I don't play that much music through it.

Phone calls are fine, it's just music.

Hopefully more people on this wonderful forum will reply. Need to know if it's worth taking in for warranty work.

when the phone is in the pocket. it skips bit.
but when its on the mount near the vents. it works fine.

with an iPhone 5s. it skips more.

with an iPhone 6 plus. it skips less.

Have you updated to the latest iOS?
If not speak to the dealer... Bluetooth connectivity range is usually around 10metre square

    just noticed something

when there is only 1 phone in the car ( iPhone 5S), there is no problems.

but when there is 2 phones in the car ( 5S and a 6 PLUS) the audio cuts in a out.

and when i turn off the bluetooth on the 6 PLUS, the problem goes away too.

so maybe the bluetooth is fighting?

Sounds like it could be Bluetooth congestion, not necessarily related to the VW receiver.
Are your phones all paired to the MFD?

Also check if you are streaming songs off the internet - I've had some issues with my iPhone and Bluetooth when (unbeknownst to me) it was set to download music from the cloud. It really sucked at doing that and streaming Bluetooth.
