If you tune the VW scanner will pick it up and flag it to VW HQ. Then your warranty on the driveline will be at risk.

Waste of time getting the extra 2 years if you intend to tune (IMO).

I have the apr tune on mine, if you're worried you can always get the tune removed, take it to get services and then afterwards get the tune reinstalled...

Just got a quote for dsg, silk blue for 34k... Waiting to see if he will drop the price more. Question, does the polo GTI have adaptive cruise control? I keep seeing conflicting info.

Only the standard Polo, not sure if you need to option the driver assistance pack to get it with the city AEB. The GTI only has standard cruise.

Very interesting thread with so many different points of view, i'm currently negotiating a deal on a new Polo GTI Manual in Deep Black Pearl Effect, 2016 build and compliance, also with both Luxury and Driver Assist packs, list price is $37,359 and have got them down to $34,359.

I got mine, same spec, for $34250 September last year (MY16). In hindsight I feel I could of knocked a few hundred or more off that price. Very happy with the car and the luxury & DAP.

Yeah for sure, At the moment it seems that $34,359 is the going discounted price, i spoke to a few dealers in Brisbane and they all came down to that figure give or take a few hundred. I have since spoken to a friend of a friend who's a dealer and he said pretty much the same as VW have no factory bonus on the GTI and almost all are being sold off the boat before they arrive. The only way to get a deal is a no option car thats in stock, found a few of those that you can get sweet deals on, Found a Red DSG with no options for $27,500.

But if you want manual and the full kit you just gotta pay the extra and really its still a sweet deal. The Polo is actually for the wife but still pretty stoked to be getting it.
