Good thread, I presume you mean $36,800 I'm getting a quote from my leasing co before going to the dealer, will let you all know how I go.
Hey guys,
One of these threads was run over at vwgolf when the R came out which helped a few of us understand how far we could negotiate on the car. Worth noting any discounts (corporate etc.) you are entitled to as well as previous dealer relationship to give people context.
Basically in the market for a 2015 polo GTI for the wife (fully loaded, white paint (not metallic)).
Been quoted $26,800 on road (bought 2 previous cars off dealer) - apparently no corporate discount offered on the polo .
How is this comparing to others?

Put down a deposit for a white manual yesterday. Got them down to 29,200 - 26,500 trade in for our 2012 Golf GTI, so a changeover amount of $2700. At Berwick.
The first changeover figure they offered was $7000.
Glen Waverley wanted $8000 changeover, down from an initial 9600. And we've bought 4 new VWs from Glen Waverley in 9 years - a golf FSI, 2 Golf GTIs, and a Polo GTI last year. They weren't interested in keeping our business.
