Thanks for the responses so far on the sport/comfort settings.
I understand what pushing the sport setting does - my question (possibly poorly worded) was how much more comfortable than Sport is the Comfort setting. If I found the MY15 (non adjustable) suspension too hard, would the MY16 in Comfort mode be much better? Or is it only a marginal change between the modes in terms of ride comfort?
Cheers
PS: Another vote for the "run it hard" school here. I had two gen 3 2.5 Subaru Libertys. One run-in hard (by someone else) and another I bought new and babied during the run-in period. I estimate the babied one was 10-20kw down on power compared to the other. It felt really sluggish in comparison.
There was an excellent document from Ford's FPV division on running in which unfortunately I can no longer find. However, their advice was after warm up to load the engine with numerous squirts of ~half throttle up to ~4,000rpm. The important aspect was the load, not the revs. I used this technique on both my wife's Euro Accord and my GTI and both go like the clappers and use next to no oil. I'm sold.
