Very surprised how good it is straight out of the box i.e. no mods. Of course better tyres and brakes would be required if track days are something you were going to do more often, as brake fade and tyres went off after a handful of laps. Was driven in Sports mode with Sports ESC setting.

Certainly a car you could setup with the right gear for tight circuits and have a lot of fun.

If it wasn't run in before, it is now

It looked like it was holding its own pretty well out there, especially for a stock car. How did it feel on the track? I passed your about halfway through the session I think, I was in the silver 9n3 GTI polo.

Certainly needs brake upgrade - decent pads, as brake fade was hitting by about the third lap and tyres were going off. But apart from that as a stock car it went well. Certainly a great base package to start with.

I hear ya! I was experiencing the same thing. Now with the additional power I certainly noticed it more, as well as being that we ran at midday vs normally being earlier in the day with a good chunk less heat.

How'd you find the stock suspension? It look pretty well sorted when following you, shame Aus never the higher spec suspension as an option.

MY16 has the Normal and Sport suspension and in Sports mode it certainly felt very good. Tip in was good and I felt it held its line pretty well once in the corner. I think the shocks are designed by Bilstein in these? I could be wrong though.

Now I know what you were talking about! "Funky" smell..... Thought we had blocked sewage pipes for a moment.

I live 30 seconds from a 100kmh zone. Even though I drop to 50kmh, she was burning off some pretty interesting fumes today.

sounds like car is pretty setup for track apart from brakes.

Yeh that smell has gone thankfully but looks like i can see melted plastic yellow substance underneath the back of the car.
