    Its a gen 3 EA888 engine. Almost totally redesigned from the previous generations similar to the MK7 2.0TSI engines so not expecting that problem to be present at all.

    I reached out to my friendly VW stealer today ..... waiting to hear on exact specs, prices and when I can get an order in.

    141kw and 320nm equals 0.2 seconds quicker to 100kph? As problematic as the 6R is, a stage 1 tune (~150kw and 300nm) netted almost a full second off the 0-100 time...

    On the Audi A3 version of this engine (132kw/280NM) APR USA is producing 184kw/450NM!!!! with a Stg 1 tune only.

    APR 1.8 TSI Generation 3 ECU Upgrade for the MQB Platform

    I'm expecting similar or better with the Polo GTI version ...... can anybody say sub 5s Polo GTI

    Surely the 7 speed DSG unit will be different/upgraded to that currently in the Polo and Mk7 Golf to handle the increased torque?

    Btw Sharkie please share when you have the specs.

    The DQ200 can already handle increased torque up to 350Nm.

    No specs or prices or options yet available from VW ...... expected deliveries to start late Q1 2015 according to my dealer. He will let me know when the order books open as well ....

    Manual, White 5 door with a sunroof and xenons is on the wish list

    You would think the 0-100 times with the Increase power figures would be close to mid to low 6's?

    How do you know that ? Is it written somewhere ?
    This is the first time I see that the DQ200 can handle more than 250Nm.

    So much for the DQ200 handling higher torque...

    Summary: No 3 door for Australia. No higher torque output for DSG models. Manuals will have it...(do I hear cheers?)
