    2015 polo gti

Geez! What a revelation this new Polo is. Back in 2010, I had a deposit down on a white 5dr 6R, but was gladly upsold into a manual Mk6 GTI. I've priced up a manual Octavia vRS Wagon but haven't put a deposit down yet.

Now that there is a manual 6R for under $30k, I'm off to the local Canberra VW for a drive. Am thinking metallic blue and Driver Assist. That will do nicely!

It probably also feels weird driving a 1.8 litre car that has more power and torque & uses 1/3 of the fuel of a 4.2L V8 VB Commodore .

    Things change

That too. I do 25k pa so the time period never factors into my thinking.

I do 25K pa as well, 90% on the freeway so the engine just lops along and fuel consumption is currently very low on my Jetta TDi. Uses no oil at all. I would expect the Polo Gti to be just as good but with more hoon factor

Most of my driving is motorway. I have the same engine as the Polo but the very early BZB build which is the "fuel guzzler" version. A genuine 100kph is about 2300rpm in 6th and it averages 6.6L/100kph. I have no idea if the gearing in my car is the same as the polo (I doubt it).

    If you buy a 1.8tsi M6 Polo I'd recomend you ignore 5th & 6th gear for the first 2000 - 3000km if you want it nicely run-in.

    hi guys

I am getting quote for both 2015 polo gti and golf gti(on special atm). Both are around 10k apart including the packages that I wanted.

Do you guys reckon it worth to spend the 10k and get the golf gti?

Depend on what you need in a car but I'd prefer the Golf as an all-rounder

I like the look/idea of the Polo GTI much better. Much cuter and lighter, better fuel economy? A bit easier to squeeze in tight places. Newest model/facelift. Only thing I don't like is no independednt suspension on the back.

Have you driven both, which one did you like better?

I have a mate with a Polo. He fitted a complete flat-pack kitchen inside it.

Sure it's too small if your kids are 2m tall and you do lots of trips with them but if it's just yourself & your significant other it might fit the bill.
