    Just dropped my car off for service at Southern Volkswagen. They had a new GTi with a manual in the showroom. Not sure if other dealers also have them, but daym it looked nice.

    Silly question but does anyone know if the new Polo GTi has footrests/dead pedal on both sides of the driver? I have them in my Jetta and find it great for long trips on cruise control is set

    ^ That's a good question, the Golfs do as well. I'm thinking with the reduced footprint of the Polo (no pun intended) that there'll be no room for a dead pedal....

    Hope it has at least got a dead pedal for the accelerator side as it is a real pain not to be able to rest the loud foot when traveling on the freeway daily. Looks like I will have to check that out when the GTi comes on sale
