Haha Gavs I thought you'd be more understanding given your issues but it didn't excuse the poor customer service.

Difference was mate, I was never dishonest even though I constantly put up with lies and deceit from VW australia.
If you get anything out of them then good job but don't kick up a fuss if you don't because like I said, you got ~$2000+ worth of work carried out on your car which technically shouldn't have been carried out by a dealership that you lied to

I am having this exact issue, very bad when you have passengers and in sports mode. Dropped car in for 24 month service this morning and they advised that they will replace the clutch packs. They said it will be done today, pretty fast job.

I miss the snappy launches and first to second change... hopefully this gets fixed.

Wow, just wow... I forgot what the DSG should have felt like... launches are smooth and fast... no random noises and no slipping... i love this car again!

And how would anyone know, sorry gavs; fail to see how anyone from VAG knows my car has a mod by reading this forum?

I have had the misfortune of service (or lack of) from VW Waitara.

If you ever post a photo of it for example. Dealers are on here and so are their employees. For example, you have a red GTI yeah? Let's say you put BBS CH wheels on it and plastidip the badges bright green, have a full stage 2 setup and tell us all about it and put photos up, even with the number plates blocked out.
What are the odds that there is more than one red GTI with bright green badges and bbs ch wheels that is showing some strange coding but isn't flagging a fault when plugged in at the dealer....

Has anyone figured out why the juddering occurs? Some say worn clutches. Some say the car is in too high of a gear for the load at the time. I have also heard about the friction coefficent of the clutches changing after driving in heavy stop go traffic leading to clutch slippage and judder when pulling off in gear 2.

The part number on the clutches hasn't changed in years so how can one really avoid judder if all you can control is the accelerator?

Push on it harder - it increases the clamping pressure of the clutches and "should" reduce slip

You mean the shift point of gear 2 in D mode at very slow speeds? Or the clamping pressure?

    Complex answer please?
